Infant Baptism (Christening)

If you live in our parish or have links with our church we would love to welcome you and your family into our church family by baptising your child.

Baptisms normally take place during the 10:30am Morning Service so that the whole church family may join in and support you in the commitments you and the Godparents make on behalf of your child. For some parents a Thanksgiving Service may be more suitable because they want to thank God for the gift of their child but don't feel able to make the Baptism promises. The Clergy will be happy to talk with you about which service is right for you. 

On these occassions we welcome you to invite your friends and families for the service, and we will reserve seating for you towards the front of the church service. We have various activities running for tots to teens at each service which they will be welcome to join in with if they choose.

There is no charge for Baptism. Every child receives a Children's Bible as a gift for their Baptism.

Adult Baptism

Baptism is for adults too! If you have not been baptised as a child and would like to declare your faith in God and your committment in following Jesus Christ please talk to the Vicar. Full immersion baptism is available where this is preferred.
