Community Events

A variety of group activities and other events take place during the week, mainly in the Trinity Centre. We hope you find some of these may be for you.

Lunch Club

Lunch Club is a group that aims to demonstrate God's love by providing a delicious, good quality two course meal and the opportunity for friendship to retired elderly in our community. It meets every Wednesday throughout the year from 12pm - 2pm, unless Christmas falls on a Wednesday, in the Trinity Centre. A limited number of seats (£1) are available in the Age Concern minibus for those who cannot use public transport.

It is run by Mrs Mavis Bamber with a team of willing volunteers and currently provides meals for 40-50 elderly people every week at a cost of £3 each. Tea and Coffee are included and are available before and after the meal. Once a month, there is a short Christian reflection time between courses.

Once a year there is an outing to a local garden centre for lunch and Christmas is always celebrated in traditional style with music provided by pupils from Holy Trinity C of E Junior School.

If you would like to attend Lunch Club please click and contact Julia Durbin in the Church Office.
