If you live in our parish and have not been married before, you have a legal right to be married in this, your parish church. Marriage in church is a very special occassion where you make joyful promises to the one you love in front of your family and friends and in the presence of the Living God. Marriage is a wonderful blessing and we would love to help make this truly a most special day for you.
If you have been married before, please speak to the Vicar. It may still be possible for you to be married in the church, but there are a number of guidlines the church needs to follow.
If you don't live in our parish, but have links with Holy Trinity for example a parent or grandparent who live in the area, or if you were baptised or confirmed at Holy Trinity you may still be able to married here.
If you would like to be married at Holy Trinity please click and contact Julia Durbin in the Church Office.
It is a legal requirement that a couple's intention to marry be announced at the main service on three consecutive Sunday's during the three months before the wedding. Known as "publishing the banns", this must be done in the respective parishes of residence of bridge and groom, as well as in the church in which they are to be married.
As you prepare for marriage, we would love to meet with you to encourage you as you prepare for married life. If you would like to meet with one of our team please contact Julia Durbin in the office.
We have had a number of wonderful wedding receptions held in the Trinity Centre. We would be delighted to host your wedding reception and can offer a professional service and a very affordable price for your special day. We have seen the centre completely transformed for a reception party, and we can provide sound facilities for music and the "all important speeches!"
If you are interested in finding out more, please contact Davina Parker in the Centre Office.;
